Mission Overview

When it comes to parkour challenges, the 'Secrets in the Air' main quest is The Beast's ultimate test. It requires you to climb three consecutive towers, each more complex than the last. But to monitor the Baron's radio channel, these efforts are necessary. This mission unlocks after completing 'Some Like It Dark' and the process is winding, requiring you to traverse large sections of the map. If you want to know the process in advance, or need help climbing the three towers, this guide will provide comprehensive guidance.
Mission Overview

Install Transmitter - First Tower

After accepting the mission from Cybil, follow the mission marker to the first radio tower. The first tower is relatively easy to climb, though you'll need to climb the first level from outside the tower. Then climb to the second level from inside, then once again climb the exterior to reach the third level, all the way to the top. After installing the transmitter at the top, you'll get a new objective: steal a radio from one of the Baron's men.

Steal Radio from Baron's Men

Before you rush into attack as you might think, you must first take out the sniper on the delivery truck, or your heroic feat may end right there. After eliminating the sniper, handle the remaining enemies your own way. Simply loot the body of one of the Baron's soldiers after killing them to obtain the radio. Then return to Cybil.

Raid Military Convoy

If you thought returning to complete the quest was the end, you'd be very wrong. A military convoy will be marked on the map. Prepare for a tough battle - you'll need to face a large number of infected, including a Brute. I'm assuming you've unlocked several military convoys by now. If not, you need to kill and loot a biter wearing military uniform to get the keycard that opens the armored vehicle door. After obtaining the additional transmitter, the second tower's location will be marked on the map. I strongly recommend finding a vehicle, as this tower is quite far away, and you'll need to travel to the third tower afterward.

Climb the Second Tower - Finding the Right Tower

Upon reaching the base of the tower, you'll find the entrance sealed and you can't get in. It took me several minutes to figure out: you don't need to climb this tower, but rather the nearest tower beside it (as shown in the map above). After reaching the tower shown in the image, use your grappling hook to swing to the tree branch, thus reaching the first level of the tower. Then climb the upper two levels from inside the tower.

Climb the Second Tower - Zipline

Upon reaching the top, use the cable as a zipline to slide to the target tower and install the transmitter at the top. This tower demonstrates the importance of the grappling hook you received in the previous episode - it's essential for reaching certain areas.

Climb the Bell Tower - Part 1 (Steps 1-7)

As the final tower, the bell tower's climbing difficulty hasn't diminished at all. This building has a complex structure. I'll try to explain it step by step, and you can also refer to the video for a more intuitive understanding. Step 1: Enter the bell tower from the main entrance and climb to the top of the ticket booth. Step 2: On your right, you should see a path to continue upward. Step 3: At the end, jump and grab the swing bar, then jump forward again to grab the ledge. Step 4: Move right along the ledge and jump until you find another path upward. Step 5: Jump forward to grab the rope and swing to the opposite side of the building. Step 6: Continue climbing up the scaffolding until you reach the upper level. Step 7: From here, you can find a climbable path in the bell tower's balcony area.

Climb the Bell Tower - Part 2 (Steps 8-15)

Step 8: Climb up the ledge, then jump backward to grab another ledge. After moving over, jump backward again. Step 9: Now climb onto the platform, jump toward the swing bar and swing to the other side. Step 10: From here, you need to wall run upward, grab the ledge, and climb to the upper platform. Step 11: Jump forward to grab the ledge and move along it. Step 12: After jumping backward to another platform, repeat step 11's operation on the ledge in front of you. Step 13: Eventually, after moving through the ledges, you'll reach an open window and enter the building interior. Step 14: Next, wall run to grab the ledge, then jump backward, swing across the horizontal bar, and reach the ledge ahead. Step 15: Now walk to the balcony in front of you, climb the pillar, and from here you can reach the bell tower top. After installing the third transmitter, you can now monitor the Baron's radio channel.

Stop Baron's Men - Timed Mission

Now that you've intercepted the Baron's men's plan to bomb Town Hall, use the zipline in front of you to reach your destination faster, as you only have 3 minutes and 25 seconds to stop them. If you leave the mission area midway, you'll respawn back at the bell tower, but the timer won't reset.

Stop Baron's Men - Defuse Bombs

Upon reaching the mission marker location, if you're playing in co-op mode, I recommend one player defuses the bomb while others distract enemies. If you're playing solo, you may not have enough time to kill all enemies before defusing. Therefore, I recommend equipping firearms to quickly deal with agile enemies, then distance yourself from the remaining Baron soldiers and quickly defuse the bombs. The bombs themselves aren't marked - use your Survivor Sense ability to easily locate them in the area.

Mission Complete - Rewards

This concludes this chapter's mission. Don't expect much from the rewards - you'll only receive 750 Old World Currency and 10,000 XP. If completed in co-op mode, you can also get an additional Co-op Loot Box. Despite the modest rewards, you've completed one of the most challenging parkour missions in The Beast and successfully prevented the Baron's attack on Town Hall.
